02.05.2011, Die Evolva Holding AG (SIX: EVE) gibt heute bekannt, dass sie Dr. Norbert Bender, einen erfahrenen Experten in der Entwicklung von Medikamenten, mit sofortiger Wirkung zu ihrem Chief Medical Officer (CMO) ernannt hat.

Dr. Norbert Bender hat in Deutschland an der Universität Frankfurt am Main Medizin, sowie Biochemie und Pharmazie studiert und in diesen Fachbereichen promoviert. Als Arzt praktizierte er 10 Jahre im Zentrum der Inneren Medizin an der Universitätsklinik in Frankfurt.

Anschliessend war er, über 20 Jahre, in leitender Funktion in Pharma- (Hoechst AG, Knoll AG) und Biotechnologieunternehmen (Cardion, Trigen, ViroLogik), sowohl in Europa als auch in Nordamerika tätig. Dr. Norbert Bender verfügt über spezielle Kenntnisse im kardiovaskulären Bereich und war an der erfolgreichen Entwicklung von Ramipril und dessen fixen Kombinationen, sowie Reviparin, Sibutramine und Adalimumab beteiligt. Er übernimmt die Position des CMO, die seit dem Ausscheiden von Jessica Mann im Jahr 2010 nicht besetzt war, und wird Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung. Seit Oktober 2010 ist Norbert Bender als medizinischer Berater für Evolva tätig gewesen.
