02.05.2007, Gate Gourmet, ein weltweiter Luftfahrt-Catering- und Logistik-Anbieter, unternimmt erste Schritte, um sein Geschäft auf Indien, einen der weltweit am schnellsten wachsenden Wirtschaftsräume, auszudehnen. Das Unternehmen unterzeichnete mit Advani Hotels & Resorts India Ltd. eine Absichtserklärung (MOU - Memorandum of Understanding) über die Übernahme und den Verkauf von Airport Plaza Flight Services, der Flugcateringeinheit des Unternehmens.

Das Unternehmen ist der einzige Flugcaterer am internationalen Flughafen von Goa, dem bekannten Badeurlaubsort am Indischen Ozean. Zu den Fluglinienkunden zählen hauptsächlich Charterunternehmen und inländische Fluglinien.

Das Abkommen unterliegt noch der Prospektprüfung und der Zustimmung der Anteilseigner von Advani. Einzelheiten wurden nicht bekannt gegeben.

Gate Gourmet, a global airline catering and logistics provider, has taken its first step to expand into India, one of the world's fastest growing economies. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Advani Hotels & Resorts India Ltd. for the transfer and sale of its flight catering unit, Airport Plaza Flight Services.

The enterprise is the sole airline caterer at the International Airport in Goa, a renowned beach resort on the Indian Ocean. Airline customers are primarily charter companies and domestic carriers.

The agreement is subject to due diligence and the approval of Advani's shareholders. Terms were not disclosed.

"Gate Gourmet has successfully restructured and is now poised for strategic growth.
